Gill Thomas was very artistic as a child, a pencil permanently in her hand. Growing up,

she was side-tracked by a career in the corporate world but in 2005 joined an evening

class to paint water colours “properly” and her love of art was re-kindled. Her main

interest is botanical art, painting in all mediums, from detailed studies on vellum to big,

bold contemporary wall art on canvas, and she is a member of the prestigious group of

Ventnor Botanical Artists. Recently however, fur and feather have entered her life in the

form of the quirky Just Animals series, pictures that are a delight for children and adults

alike. Gill undertakes commissions and regularly exhibits her work
